Prototype status

A workshop prototype, not a marketing render.

The status panel on the left is the engineering view of where the build is right now — enclosure, signal, dispatch wiring, and the rollout plan for the first 100 collars. Every line updates as the bench produces new data.

The story

Conceived after a real warning — built for the neighbours who heard it.

The idea for Lifeline Collars was born after elderly residents nearby were broken into and assaulted. Their dog was home with them — and the dog, wearing its everyday collar, became the missing link.

Deb, our founder, has spent years in the Western Australian handmade BioThane and paracord collar trade and saw first-hand how many of her customers are older Australians living alone with a beloved pet. Personal alarms are a well-known category for seniors — but only when they are carried. Our bet is simple: if the help button lives on the collar the dog is already wearing, it cannot be left on the kitchen bench on a bad day.

How it works

One button. The dog does the carrying.

If something feels wrong, the senior presses the side of the collar the dog is already wearing — and a 24/7 connection begins.

    Press

    A single tactile button on the side of the collar — large enough to find by feel, raised enough to press without looking. A confirmation tone plays on the collar so the senior knows the SOS has fired.

  2. 02

    Connect

    The collar transmits over cellular — and falls back to satellite where there is no signal — to a 24/7 monitoring desk.

  3. 03

    Dispatch

    Trained operators identify the senior, confirm over the open channel, and dispatch the nearest emergency service to the home.

Cellular in town, satellite when there is no signal. The buffer kicks in only at the edge, where most at-risk homes actually sit.
