No phone to find, no charger to remember, no panic-button pendant left on the nightstand. Pressing the side of the collar the dog is already wearing opens a live line to a 24/7 Australian dispatch desk in seconds — and a trained operator stays on the call until help is with the wearer.
The SOS flow

Press
A single tactile button on the side of the collar — large enough to find by feel in the dark, raised enough to press without looking. One press. Hold for one second. A confirmation tone plays on the collar so the wearer knows it has fired.

Dispatch
The signal reaches our 24/7 monitoring desk on the ground in Australia. A trained dispatcher identifies the wearer, opens a two-way channel through the collar, and calls the wearer's emergency contacts — and 000 if anyone on the list cannot be reached or the situation warrants it.

Follow-up
The dispatcher stays on the line with the wearer until help arrives, looping in family contacts and re-dialing as the situation changes. If the wearer says they are fine, the call is closed with a short welfare check the next day.
What if there is no signal?
The collar keeps the call open. The dispatcher keeps listening.
Many of the seniors we are building this for live at the edge of coverage — on the edge of town, on a property backing onto bush, or in a new development the carriers have not reached yet. The collar is engineered with that edge in mind.
Cellular is the primary path — fast, low-power, and what we use whenever a signal is available. Where there is none, the collar falls back to a satellite uplink so the SOS event still reaches the desk. If the wearer is out of coverage entirely when the button is pressed, the collar buffers the event and sends it the moment a signal returns — the dispatcher is then notified with whatever location fix was captured at press time.
And if the wearer cannot be reached at all — out of range, unreachable voice, no response on the two-way channel — the dispatcher follows the same emergency-contact chain anyway, escalating to 000 when the situation warrants it. The signal flow does not depend on the wearer being able to speak.
